Transak makes PayPal USD available across Web3

Transak, one of the leaders in Web3 payments infrastructure, has listed PayPal’s stablecoin, PayPal USD (PYUSD). This enables Transak users the ability to buy PYUSD using their preferred local payment methods.

PayPal USD is issued by Paxos Trust Company, a fully chartered limited purpose trust company. Paxos and its products – including expansion to new blockchains – are subject to regulatory oversight by the New York State Department of Financial Services. Reserves for PayPal USD are fully backed by U.S. dollar deposits, U.S. Treasuries and similar cash equivalents, and PayPal USD can be bought or sold through PayPal and Venmo at a rate of $1.00 per PayPal USD.

The announcement marks a step towards a more non-siloed internet of ownership where users have greater control of their digital assets.

How to Buy PayPal USD (PYUSD) via Transak

Users can purchase PYUSD on Transak in three simple steps.

Step 1: Go to global.transak.com

Head over to Transak’s on-ramp widget at https://global.transak.com

Step 2: Choose PYUSD and Fiat Currency

From the widget, search for PayPal USD (PYUSD). It is available on the Ethereum network.

Then, select the fiat currency you want to purchase PYUSD with and enter how much you want to pay.

Step 3: Choose Payment Method and Transact

Next, choose the payment method you want to use. This is different based on the fiat currency you’ve chosen and the amount you want to purchase.

Here, you will be able to see a complete breakdown of the fees.

Then, provide the Ethereum wallet address where you want to receive your PYUSD stablecoin and finish the payment.
