U.S. State Privacy Notice Addendum
This Addendum applies to the residents of U.S. states that have enacted comprehensive consumer privacy laws(the “Covered States”). It explains how we collect and process Personal Information as a “business” or “controller” and how you can exercise your rights under these states’ comprehensive privacy laws (the “U.S. State Privacy Laws”).
Personal Information means information that the U.S. State Privacy Laws define as “Personal Information” or “Personal Data.” Generally speaking, this means any information that is linked or reasonably linkable to an identified or identifiable natural person. Personal Information does not include information that is deidentified or aggregated, or otherwise excluded from the scope of the U.S. State Privacy Laws, such as publicly available information and information Transak processes as a financial institution under the federal Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act and its implementing regulations. Sources of Personal Information We Collect
We collect Personal Information from you when you provide it to us or automatically through our non-financial Services. We may also obtain information about you from other sources, such as service providers, affiliates or business partners, advertising networks, analytics providers, and search information providers.
Categories of Personal Information We Collect, Process, and Disclose
The information we collect, use, and disclose about you will vary depending on how you interact with our non-financial Services. Over the past 12 months, we may have collected, used, and disclosed each of the categories of Personal Information about you, as described below. The examples of Personal Information and Sensitive Personal Information provided for each category reflect each category’s statutory definition and may not reflect all of the specific types of Personal Information and Sensitive Personal Information associated with each category.
- Identifiers, including name, alias, address, unique personal identifier, online identifiers, internet protocol address, email address, account name, or other similar identifiers
- Categories of information listed in the California Customer Records statute (Cal. Civ. Code Section 1798.80(e)), including name, address, telephone number
- Internet or Other Electronic Network Activity Information, including browsing history, search history, and information regarding a consumer’s interaction with an internet website, application or advertisement
- General (Non-Precise) Geolocation Data

Categories of Third Parties to Which We Disclose Your Information
We may disclose your information to third parties, including the following categories of third parties:
- Service providers and vendors
- Analytics partners
- Advertising partners
- Law enforcement or other third parties in connection with legal requests, to comply with applicable law or to prevent harm
- Third parties in mergers and other corporate transactions
- Corporate affiliates
In addition to the purposes above, third parties may process your information for purposes set forth in their privacy policies.
We disclose Identifiers and Categories of information listed in the California Customer Records statute (Cal. Civ. Code Section 1798.80(e)) to Advertising Partners, and we have engaged in these disclosures over the past 12 months. Under the U.S. State Privacy Laws, some of these data disclosures may broadly be considered a “sale” of Personal Information, processing of Personal Information for targeted advertising, and “sharing” of Personal Information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
We do not knowingly “sell” or “share” Personal Information about consumers under the age of 16 for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not knowingly collect, use, or sell Personal Information for the purpose of training large language models. We do not knowingly process Personal Information about consumers under the age of 13. If we process deidentified data provided to us by third parties, we will not attempt to reidentify it if we are prohibited by applicable law from doing so.
Retention
We will retain Personal Information for a time period required or allowed by applicable regulations or laws and as needed to fulfill business purposes outlined in Section 3, including providing you products and services, complying with our legal obligations, resolving disputes, and enforcing our agreements, or for other purposes described in this U.S. State Privacy Notice Addendum. Our retention of information is based on many factors such as your relationship with Transak, the nature of the information, compliance with our legal obligations, and defending or resolving actual or anticipated legal claims.
Your U.S. State Privacy Rights
Some states provide consumers certain rights regarding their Personal Information. Depending on where you live and subject to certain exceptions, you may exercise the following rights:
- The right to confirm whether we process your Personal Information and to know the categories of Personal Information we have collected or disclosed about you, as well as the sources of such Personal Information, the purposes, and the categories of third parties to whom such Personal Information is disclosed.
- The right to request that we disclose to you the categories of Personal Information we have collected or disclosed about you, as well as the sources of such Personal Information, the purposes, and categories of third parties to whom such Personal Information is disclosed.
- The right to access, correct, or delete the specific pieces of Personal Information we have collected about you.
- The right to opt out of the “sale” of your Personal Information, the “sharing” of your Personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and the processing of your Personal Information for targeted advertising.
- The right to limit our collection, use or disclosure of your sensitive Personal Information, where permitted by law. We do not collect, use, or disclose sensitive Personal Information.
- The right to be free from discriminatory treatment for the exercise of your privacy rights.
- The right to appeal any decision with regard to your privacy request.
- The right to opt out of the collection of Personal Information collected through any voice or facial recognition features. We do not collect Personal Information through voice or facial recognition features.
- The right to opt-out of profiling in furtherance of producing legal or significant decisions concerning a consumer, as well as rights to request information about and question the results of such profiling. We do not engage in such profiling.=
Exercising Your U.S. State Privacy Rights
Submitting Requests. You can submit access, correction, deletion, and appeal requests by contacting our support chat. You can exercise your right to opt out of the processing of your Personal Information for targeted advertising, the “sharing” of your Personal Information for cross-context behavioral advertising, or the “sale” or your Personal Information by using our “Cookie Settings” Privacy Preference Center (accessible via the Transak logo in the bottom-left of this webpage) and toggling the “Targeting Cookies” option to the left/off. For some requests, you may adjust your notification preferences in the “Settings” section of your account page. If you visit our website using a web browser with the Global Privacy Control (“GPC”) signal enabled, we will treat the GPC signal as a request to opt out of targeted advertising, “sharing,” and “sales.”
Verification. Requests for access to, deletion, or correction of Personal Information are subject to our ability to verify your identity. To verify your identity, we may ask you to provide a copy of an official identification document and/or evidence of your residency address.
Authorizing an Agent. If you are acting as an authorized agent to make a request to know, delete, or correct on behalf of a California resident, please contact our support chat and attach a written authorization signed by the resident. We may still require the California resident to directly verify their identity and confirm that they have provided you permission to submit the request.

GLBA Privacy Notice
This GLBA Privacy Notice applies to consumers who obtain or have obtained a financial product or service from us primarily for personal, family, or household purposes. It explains how we, as a "financial institution," collect, use, and disclose nonpublic personal information ("NPI") about you under the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act and its implementing regulations (the "GLBA"). We do not disclose NPI about you to nonaffiliated third parties except as permitted by law.
