Transak now supports Ripple USD, Ripple's regulated, U.S. dollar-backed stablecoin, on the XRP Ledger.
Transak, the stablecoin payments infrastructure powering financial applications worldwide, has made Ripple USD (RLUSD), Ripple’s enterprise-grade USD-backed stablecoin, available on the XRP Ledger (XRPL, a public blockchain). Any financial application connected to Transak can now offer its users RLUSD issued natively on the XRPL.
When stablecoins became payments infrastructure. Transak became the rail.
For most of their history, stablecoins lived inside crypto. Traders held them between positions. Exchanges settled with them. The tooling around them was built for a crypto-native audience that already understood wallets, networks, and gas fees.
That era is over.
Regulated dollar stablecoins now settle remittances, hold treasury balances, fund cards, and pay out marketplaces and contractors across borders. The demand is coming from banks, neobanks, payment service providers, remittance platforms, and payroll companies, not only from crypto firms.
Transak is the stablecoin payments infrastructure that any financial application can use to move between fiat and regulated stablecoins through one integration. On-ramp, off-ramp, virtual account payments, KYC Reliance, and Auth Reliance sit behind a single API, inside a licensed perimeter that spans multiple countries.
"Stablecoins are becoming the way value moves between financial applications, not just within crypto," said Sami Start, CEO and co-founder of Transak. "RLUSD is a regulated dollar and the XRP Ledger is built for payments. Bringing them together on our rails means any financial application can settle in regulated dollars, in seconds, anywhere we operate."
What financial applications can build with it
Bringing a regulated dollar and a payments-native ledger together through a compliant infrastructure provider like Transak unlocks new avenues for institutions.
The integration enables a range of payment use cases. Remittance providers can fund transfers from cards or bank accounts and settle in RLUSD on the XRPL before paying out in local currency. Wallets and neobanks can offer customers a trusted digital dollar alongside local currency on- and off-ramps, while payment providers, marketplaces and payroll platforms can settle funds globally in near real time.
In each case the application never has to hold the regulatory perimeter itself. Transak routes the liquidity, runs the compliance, and handles fiat across more than 60 countries. The financial application ships the product.
Availability
RLUSD is available today through Transak. Users can purchase RLUSD using cards, bank transfers and local payment methods across the fiat currencies and markets supported by Transak.
Applications can enable RLUSD purchases for their users through Transak's pre-built widget or its white-label API, with the same onboarding, compliance, and settlement stack they already run for every other asset.
