One of the most overlooked parts of any payments flow is login.
If users struggle to sign in, everything that comes after feels harder. That friction shows up as drop offs, repeated attempts, or users abandoning the flow altogether.
To make this experience smoother, Transak now supports Single Sign On (SSO) using Google and Apple. The feature is now live across supported integrations.
What's new
Users can now log in to Transak using their Google or Apple account.
This means fewer steps, faster access, and a more seamless experience especially for repeat users.
Importantly, this does not create duplicate accounts. If a user already has a Transak account and logs in using Google or Apple with the same email address, the accounts are automatically merged.
From the user’s point of view, it just works.
Why this matters
Authentication is a small moment in the journey, but it has a big impact.
With Google and Apple SSO, users get:
- Faster login with fewer steps
- No password creation or resets
- A familiar and trusted sign in experience
- Seamless access even if they previously used email based login
For partners, this helps reduce friction during onboarding and improves overall flow completion without requiring changes to existing user accounts.
How it works at a high level
Transak uses a unified SSO system that supports both Google and Apple login.
When a user chooses to sign in with Google or Apple:
- Transak verifies the identity securely
- The system checks for an existing account using the same email
- If one exists, the accounts are merged automatically
- The user continues the flow without interruption
There is no separate setup required for users and no additional account management complexity introduced.
Availability and integration notes
Google and Apple SSO are supported on:
- Direct web link integrations
- iframe / Transak SDK integrations hosted on *.transak.com (same-origin)
Google and Apple SSO are not supported on:
- iframe / Transak SDK integrations embedded on cross-origin partner domains, due to browser security restrictions
- Mobile app WebViews, due to platform restrictions from Google and Apple
In unsupported environments, users can continue to log in using existing authentication methods
Live now
Google and Apple SSO are now fully live on Transak.
If you are already integrated, the feature is available automatically on supported integrations. If you are evaluating Transak or planning an integration, this is now part of the default login experience.
If you have questions about how this works for your specific setup, reach out to your Transak contact and we will be happy to help.
